Restoring Hope for Our Future by Empowering Youth to Succeed

BABY’s mission is to prevent young people in South Los Angeles from entering gangs and to reduce the impact of gang activity on our communities.

Our interventions keep students off the streets and in school, promote peace in and around our school communities, foster safe and resilient learning environments, and advance youth’s core life and coping skills.

BABY Executive Director Recognized as an Unsung Hero!

We are honored to announce that our Executive Director, Charles “Bear” Spratley, has been nominated by Senator Sydney Kamlager (SD-30) for the California Legislative Black Caucus’ 2022 Unsung Hero Recognition.

Join us for this virtual event honoring Black History Month and the many individuals who contribute so selflessly to our communities.

“Working with BABY was like counseling, but on a level that I could relate to.

They had a big impact on the way I carry myself and my future.”
